Workstation Requirements

• Minimum CPU: Pentium 4 1.6GHz

• Minimum Memory: 256 MB above that needed by the Operating System (OS)

• Workstation Operating Systems:

• * Windows 2000 will not be supported after July 13, 2010 in line with Microsoft ending Extended Support

• Windows XP

• Windows Vista Business or Ultimate

• Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate

• The following are NOT supported operating systems: any Home, Media Center, or Tablet PC Edition

• (Some HawkSoft Components and 3rd Party Integrations may not be compatible with 64-bit Operating Systems)

• Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher

• .NET Framework 3.5

• MFC 9.0

• Minimum Monitor Resolution: 800x600

• Internet Access: Required on all workstations for updates, company downloads, web integration, email and support.

• CD or DVD Writer: Required on at least one workstation or the server for off premise storage and backups

Network Requirements

• HawkSoft requires a configured peer to peer or domain based (recommended) network.  (required for local installations only)

• Wireless networks are NOT recommended or supported.

• A configured network must have a computer configured to act as the network server.

• Server Operating System:                  

• * Windows 2000 Server/Professional will not be supported after July 13, 2010 in line with Microsoft ending Extended Support

• Windows XP Professional,

• Windows 2003 Server (recommended)

• Windows 2008 Server

• The following are NOT supported server operating systems: Windows Vista, Windows 7, and any Home, Media Center or Tablet PC Edition.

• (Some HawkSoft Components and 3rd Party Integrations may not be compatible with 64-bit Operating Systems)

• Server must have a network share that is configured to give all CMS users Full Control of the share.  (Note:  Server operating systems cannot be configured using Simple File Sharing.)

• Server Hard Drive: Approximately 3GB per 1000 customers

• A mapped network drive to the network share must be present on all workstations used to access CMS.
